My Step for Kotayk region business forum conducted in Tsakhkadzor
My Step for Kotayk region business forum launched today in Tsakhkadzor with the participation of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of government, businessmen representing different sectors, foreign investors.
Governor of Kotayk Romanos Petrosyan briefed to the participants on the opportunities of the region, noting that Kotayk is one of the regions having multi-branch economy with the specific weight of the province in the GDP making 7%. The major part of economy comes to share to industrial activity.
The governor said that there are four main branches of economic development of the region – diamond processing recovering energy, intensive farming and technological agriculture, tourism and hospitality.
He said 13 diamond processing companies are working in the province with another big one to soon be founded in Abovian.
He said over 700 residents are working in the region’s diamond processing companies.
This is the 8th such conference with the same ones having been conducted in Ararat, Lori, Gegharkunik, Syunik, Tavush and Shirak regions.
