Applications addressed by CC to ECHR and Venice Commission regarding Kocharyan’s case worked out by CC’s authorized staff
Armenia’s Constitutional Court’s staff has come up with a statement today in response to information found place in mass media.
In it the CC reports that the applications filed to the European Court of Human Rights and Venice Commission on the basis of applications of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan regarding the constitutionality of 300.1 Article of the Criminal Code were formed by exclusively authorized staff of the Constitutional Court and any other claims do not correspond to reality.
The statement also says that according to the set order, the applications to the mentioned bodies were filed in English while in the materials of the case both Armenian and English versions of the applications exist.
The CC also reports that according to the constitutional law about Constitutional Court, with exception of some cases, materials of a case or information about it may be provided to the bodies, parties or experts set by the law and in conditions fixed in the law.
