Anti-corruption commission to start working in September-October: justice minister
The bill on 2019-2022 strategy for fighting against corruption is in the final phase of preparation and will soon be offered for public discussion, justice minister Rustam Badasyan said during its discussion.
The minister said the first step is the creation of institutional system – an independent anti-corruption body which will deal with prevention of corruption, reveal and examine corruption cases. Anti-corruption courts are also expected to be created to deal with the examination of corruption cases.
Referring to the corruption prevention commission, Badasyan said that in September-October months the members of the commission will be appointed and the commission will start working. He said the authorities of the commission will be expanded.
Anti-corruption committee is also expected to be created.
