State free to ban exploitation of mine in case any violations come forth
Researches and studies over exploitation of Amulsar must be continuous, head of investigative group studying Amulsar exploitation issue Yura Ivanyan told the reporters today, adding that Lydian Armenia or other mine industry company must not be satisfied with just one Environment Impact Assessment and Nature Protection and Social Influence Assessment. The monitoring must be conducted everyday.
“Lydian has declared it as one of fundamental provisions of its policy,” the official said.
Ivanyan stressed that the company is responsible for the consequences of the elaborated activity and not the expert company or experts.
He also draw the attention on the circumstance that in case of any violations the state bodies are free to ban the further exploitation of the mine and deprive the company of license.
