First session of Kocharyan’s case to take place either later this week or during the next one: lawyer
What the Constitutional Court is to examine on August 29 relates to Robert Kocharyan more than to March 1 case, lawyer Hayk Alumyan told the reporters today.
He stressed that what will be discussed at Venice Commission, European Court will have a global impact.
“We have twice officially applied to the chairman of the Yerevan general jurisdiction court. As far as the law does not set that the case ascribing process must be closed, and taking into consideration that we have always considered this process a bit suspicious we have twice mediated for the mass media and advocates participate in the process,” he said, adding that the answer to the first petition did not had any relation to it, while the second time no answer was received at all.
“Three days after the case has been ascribed to Anna Danibekyan, she started the proceeding. Supposedly, the first session will take place either by the end of this week or in the beginning of the next one,” the lawyer said.
