Government to never make anti-state decision: My Step faction head on Amulsar
The first meeting of My Step faction after summer holidays takes place today, faction’s head Lilit Makunts told the reporters today.
“We will discuss the issues that will be on our agenda in the future. Separate committees will brief on the conducted work and we will see what proposals will be voiced,” she said.
Speaking about the delay of discussion of Istanbul Convention, Makunts said that the ministry has applied to the Venice Commission over the issue and time is necessary for the response to come.
“After it, the document must be in the Constitutional Court and then appear on the agenda of the National Assembly. So, it was expected that it will take a long time,” she said.
As to Amulsar issue, Makunts stressed that the government will never make anti-state, anti-national decision.
She said new studies will be made to assess the impact on the environment.
