AFF chairman expects dignified Armenia-Italy game
A real football fest is expected in Yerevan today with Armenia’s national team to compete with the Italian national team.
The match will take place in Republican stadium which will be full as all the tickets for the match have been bought by football lovers.
UEFA chairman Aleksander Čeferin has arrived in Armenia to watch Armenia-Italy game from the stadium.
Speaking to Aysor.am, chairman of Armenia’s Football Federation Artur Vanetsyan said that he expects dignified football match.
“Like in this game, and in others of the Armenian national team as well, I expect dignified football. The result is always important, but I value the most the dignified play, the strive to victory, doing the utmost on the field and showing the best game,” Vanetsyan told Aysor.am.
He expressed conviction that Armenia’s football team will delight the fans.
“I hope the Armenian team will ensure nice moments for us in the game with Italy and Bosnia-Herzegovina and will delight us with a dignified game. I urge all our fans to support the team and believe that our guys can reach success in even most complicated confrontations,” he said.
The AFF chairman voiced hope that the UEFA chairman will be astonished with the performance of the Armenian national team.
The match will launch at 8 p.m.
