Armenia consults with partner countries over Syria issue: FM

Syria’s issue is very sensitive for us and we express it through humanitarian mission there, Armenia’s foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said at a press conference on Friday.

“The process of regulation of Syria’s issue is extremely dynamic and multilayer. Here we first of all have our declared priority which relates to the security of our compatriots,” the minister said.

At the same time he said that Armenia and Russia have clearly worked out strategic cooperation.

“We have our agenda of cooperation with our various partners and in all these directions we have our priority, agenda of current international relations. We build our cooperation with each partner excluding any influence of one relations on the others,” he said, adding that Armenia does not build relations with one country on the account of relations with another.

Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia is always consulting with its partners over Syria’s issue.
