Armenia prepares for October EAEU Summit, hopes boosting bilateral agenda and relations with Russia
Yerevan is getting prepared for the EAEU Summit scheduled for October 1 with the participation of leaders of the structure’s member states, Armenia’s foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told the reporters on Friday.
“We are expecting all the leaders of our partner countries. Yes, we have affirmations, and we do not have any situation that may create extraordinary situation regarding preparations for the October 1 summit,” he said, expressing conviction that very effective summit will be held and the Armenian-Russian inter-state relations will only win from them.
As to if Russia’s President Vladimir Putin may express wish to visit ex-president Robert Kocharyan in custody and how it will influence the diplomatic relations, the minister said, “I am not attracted to comment the ifs. We are getting prepared for the summit and there is a clear goal from the both sides to boost the existing agenda and relations.”
