Armenia purchases exclusive weapon from Russia: deputy FM
Armenia has purchased an exclusive weapon from Russia, Armenia’s deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the reporters today.
He said there is no provision forbidding Russia to sell weapon to Azerbaijan, the deputy minister said.
“Very often we are being asked how Russia sells weapon to Azerbaijan despite allied relations with Armenia, but on the other hand we must register that Armenia purchases weaponry at very affordable price. Moreover, we have purchased an exclusive weapon from Russia,” Kocharyan said.
The deputy minister said it does not mean at all that Armenia does not see any issue in selling weapon to Azerbaijan and the country is periodically raising the issue.
