U.S. President is to decide further policy over Iran: political analyst
The United States is not likely to change its policy over Iran. Different messages are addressed to Iran that the USA is ready to negotiate and establish some relations with the Islamic Republic.
The decision of U.S. president Donald Trump to fire his national security adviser John Bolton was quite natural in this regard, political analyst Suren Sargsyan told Aysor.am, adding that dissatisfaction from Bolton was rather big both in the USA and the world in general.
“Bolton had the toughest position over Iran and not only. I am speaking of Venezuela as well where despite mass unrest Maduro remains on power,” Sargsyan said.
As to Armenian-Iranian topic, if to consider Bolton’s statements voiced during his visit to Armenia about the necessity to “squeeze the circle over Iran,” Sargsyan said hence everything will be decided by president Trump.
“If he wants to negotiate with Iran, this decision will not undergo changes. After new adviser passes to work he/she must push forward this and all other priorities,” Sargsyan said.
Earlier U.S. president Donald Trump stated about firing Bolton not agreeing with his suggestions over a number of issues.
