What takes place is not a revolution but degradation and distortion: Arstvik Minasyan on economic revolution stated by PM
ARF-D representative, economist Artsvik Minasyan said the creation of jobs must encourage all, and the economy is a body where jobs are being both created and existing ones are being closed.
“When it is being spoken about over 600,000 registered workers and in general about creation of jobs it is necessary to base on first data of State Committee of Statistics and on the data of the State Revenue Committee,” Minasyan said, referring to the prime minister’s statement that for the first time in Armenia’s history number of registered workers reached 606,040.
He stressed the importance of concrete specialized conclusion after such publications.
“If you say over 600,000, it means that the our people must feel the changes, why don’t they feel them? These are questions which need answers,” Minasyan said, adding that the mania to show anything positive at any cost must be stopped.
Speaking about the growth of prices, and statements of the head of the government that it is on the low and controllable level, Minasyan said he would advise non-professionals not speak about an economic factor which demands serious analysis.
“Growth of prices in Armenia has always been controllable, another thing is when we are speaking about the real impact on the services and products the people buy and compare with methodological calculations of the price hike,” said the economist.
Referring to the economic revolution the ARF-D figure stressed the necessity to forget the word ‘revolution’ while speaking about economic progress.
“Revolution is the biggest impediment for economic development and attraction of investments,” said he, adding that what currently takes place is not a revolution.
“This is not a revolution, I do not know how to call it, we may call it even degradation, distortion but never economic progress,” the economist said.
