Armenia’s PM refuses to comment on Vanetsyan’s resignation statement
The statement of the Armenia’s prime minister Nikol Pashinyan about the resignation of director of National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan followed the statement of the latter about his resignation.
In it Vanetsyan stressed that during his activity he was guided with the principle that the honor of homeland and officer is above all. He also described his decision as the most preferable and grounded in the created conditions.
“Let my resignation be “Stop!” sobering step, in all the rest cases the duty before homeland will win,” Vanetsyan stated.
Asked whether the prime minister sees criticism of the policy conducted by him in Vanetsyan’s statement, Pashinyan said Vanetsyan is not a state figure anymore and is free to make any statements.
“I usually respond to the statements I personally read. I will read it and in case of necessity will respond,” the head of the government stated.
