Armenia’s NPP’s can work normally till 2026: Vladimir Bredov
Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant’s reactor system may work till 2026, Vladimir Bredov, head of the Russian side of the project on extention of the exploitation term of Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant, said, commenting on the information of joining of the plant to the country’s power system after planned-warning repair.
Bredov said the conclusion has been received on the basis of control of the exploitation and after necessary engineering calculations.
In parallel with the reactor system over 5,000 units of equipment have been examined and confirmation of the possibility to exploit it till 2026 has been received.
Armenia’s deputy territorial administration and infrastructures minister Hakob Vardanyan noted that after planned-warning repair the nuclear power plant has been joined to the country’s power system 60 days earlier from the set timeframe.
