Armenia’s FM, U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker meet in New York, discuss cooperation issues
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in New York to participate in the works of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly met on September 25 with the U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State on European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker.
During the meeting the interlocutors discussed a wide-range of issues on bilateral relations, stressing the commitment to bring into life the arrangements reached in the framework of Armenian-Amercian strategic dialogue.
The parties also referred to a number of urgent issues on international and regional agenda.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed to the U.S. official on the meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart on September 23 with the mediation of OSCE Minsk Group and expressed gratitude to the United States as well as other Minsk Group co-chairing countries – Russia and France – for the efforts addressed to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
The interlocutors also attached significance to the formation of peace-promoting atmosphere, including reinforcement of ceasefire regime and exclusion of military rhetoric.
