Armenia’s FM meets OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger on September 26 in New York, MFA press service reports.
During the meeting the interlocutors exchanged views over the programs of cooperation between OSCE Secretariat and Armenia’s Foreign Ministry. Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia attaches significance to the cooperation with the OSCE Secretariat in different directions.
With the request of the OSCE top official Armenia’s minister briefed on the current situation in the Karabakh conflict settlement process and particularly the results of the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani ministers in New York on September 23 with the participation of the Minsk Group co-chairs.
The interlocutors positively assessed the relative reduction of the tension in recent months.
Mnatsakanyan stressed that the Armenian side attaches significance to the efforts addressed to the reinforcement of ceasefire regime and reduction of tension, including to the necessity of introduction of corresponding mechanisms.
The necessity of steps addressed to the formation of atmosphere of trust has been stressed.
