Upon return from the United States Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan convened a consultation, Pastinfo reports, saying that among many issues the head of the government referred to the domestic political situation in the country.
In particular Pashinyan referred to the actions of former director of National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan and My Step faction lawmaker Sasun Mikayelyan voicing rather tough statements in their address.
Pastinfo contacted with the spokesperson of the Prime Minister Vladimir Karapetyan to clarify the information. In the conversation Karapetyan did not reject the fact of such consultation.
“Armenia’s prime minister is having numerous consultations and discussions daily, it is in his working style. During it domestic political, foreign political and other issues of public significance are being discussed,” the spokesperson told the media.
As to whether the actions of Vanetsyan and Mikayelyan were discussed, Karapetyan said, “What I am telling is that all the issues of public interest are being discussed.”
Recently media have been reporting about tension in relations between Pashinyan and Sasun Mikayelyan. In case of Vanetsyan, the tension is obvious.
