New information in Amulsar criminal case revealed: Investigative Committee deputy head
The preliminary examination of the criminal case over Amulsar continues as new information has been revealed recently, deputy chairman of the Investigative Committee, head of the investigative group of the case Arsen Ayvazyan told the reporters today.
Ayvazyan has been appointed in the post recently following the resignation of the former head of the investigation group Yura Ivanyan after the reporters revealed his relative ties with the former nature protection minister Aramayis Grigoryan. Lydian Armenia received permission on exploitation of the mine during Grigoryan’s term in office in 2016.
Asked whether the newly revealed information is the one hidden by the former head of the group Yura Ivanyan, Ayvazyan said he cannot gave any assessments now.
“I can just say that preliminary examination continues, the information will be revealed later,” he said.
Ayvazyan said as new information the committee is viewing the writ sent to it by the Environment Ministry.
“It contains new information, new data, necessary for the case,” Ayvazyan said, not excluding conduction of new expertise.
