Pashinyan: Armenia prioritizes expansion of geography of foreign economic ties of the EAEU
Armenia pays special attention to the expansion of the geography of foreign economic ties of the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the extended session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
“Already this month the free trade agreements with Iran and China enter into force. Their further implementation is a priority for us in the pre-context of real expansion of trade cooperation with the third countries,” Pashinyan said, adding that the cooperation with Iran will have positive impact on the economies of the EAEU member states.
Pashinyan also stated that the negotiations with Singapore have been completed and today free trade agreement will be signed between Singapore and EAEU member states.
“I want to express conviction that the implementation of this agreement will create favorable environment for expansion of mutually beneficial trade relations, result in reduction of business expenses and raise of efficiency of economic cooperation,” the head of the Armenian government said.
Pashinyan also stressed that negotiations have been completed with Serbia as well and soon similar agreement will be signed with that country as well.
“Our goal is to complete negotiations with Egypt, Israel and India,” Armenia’s PM said, adding that Armenia will continue undertaking efforts for boosting integration and cooperation.
