Russia is our strategic partner: Pashinyan meets with Russian president
Armenia attaches great significance to bilateral relations with Russia, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia is our strategic partner and we hope to foster our partnership. We are thankful for your readiness and such perception of our relations. I am convinced our relations will reinforce more,” Pashinyan said, expressing Armenia’s readiness.
He said the conduction of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council’s session in Yerevan and the signing of agreements with Singapore and Iran were remarkable events.
“I am pleased of our presidency in the Union but it is not the end. We still have time and will manage to register new success,” Pashinyan stressed.
In his turn Russia’s president reaffirmed the strategic nature of Armenian-Russian relations.
“They are firm not only with our decades-long relations but with century-long friendship of our peoples,” Putin stressed, congratulating the PM on the results of the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
“We have registered really good results including the establishment of ties with third countries, besides, which is also very important, the arrangements reached among the member states were implemented. You have put utmost efforts for ensuring such effective work, I congratulate you and want to express my gratitude,” Putin stressed.
