Friendly talks and urges found place but not calls: Hrayr Tovmasyan on pressures by authorities
Chairman of Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan claims that representatives of the incumbent political authorities did not call him but had friendly conversations and urges.
“Knowing me no one will risk to call and convey anything,” the CC chairman said in an interview with Armnews TV channel, asked about any immediate pressures.
“There were urges and friendly conversations. I convince you, they really found place. Let me not go into details,” he said.
As to whether he considers the demands of his resignation by the representatives of today’s authorities in social networks as pressure, Tovmasyan said, “Let them do that. The pressures always exist, I am not going to implement street justice. If you have assumed the post of the judge, you must know that it is a special post. Those who have never been judges will not understand what it is, he/she did not appear in the mental state to wake up at 3 a.m. to re-read the decision and go to church before making the decision.”
