Armen Gevorgyan’s defense motions for changing his preventive measure
Attorney of former deputy prime minister Armen Gevorgyan motioned the court to lift the preventive measure against Gevorgyan.
The preventive measure against Gevorgyan was selected signature bond on not leaving the country.
“Armen Gevorgyan’s right to free movement has been violated from the very beginning and I request to lift the preventive measure applied against him,” attorney Erik Alexanyan said, addressing the court.
He noted that Gevorgyan must leave for Austria for medical examination due to heart problems. Besides the lawyer said he has business meeting in Vienna.
The accusing prosecutors objected the petition.
Addressing the court Armen Gevorgyan cited the letter of Arins Group which says that the members of the Board of the company guarantee Gevrogyan’s return after medical examination.
After the end of the trial Gevorgyan said if the government continues working in such way no investments will be made in Armenia.
The court left for consultation room. The decision will be published tomorrow at 1 p.m.
