Economic risks in Armenia cut by half making economic environment more favorable: Armenia’s PM
This year Armenia will more probably register 7% economic growth, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today at the My Step for Aragatsotn region investment conference today.
“It is very important, this is a quite high index in the Eurasian Economic Union area and in European territory in general. Of course, it is clear that we have a low base and the 7% does not make us very happy,” the head of the government said, adding that it is not a success but an opportunity.
Pashinyan said in the first three quarters of the year the Central Bank made 433 million USD purchases in Armenia’s market which means additional 433 million USD currency means.
“This is mainly agreed with the growth of tourism and opens extremely big and new opportunities for Armenia’s citizens,” the PM said, adding that according to international economic community assessments the risk degrees have been cut by half in Armenia making the economic environment more favorable.
