Car importers to make their voice reach government and get their issues solved: car importer
The importers of right-wheel cars are re-equipping them in Georgia after being banned to do it here. The importers have been conducting protest actions in front of government building with the demand of lifting the ban and allowing re-equipment in Armenia.
Speaking with Aysor.am importer Davit Gasparyan said they have already sent the letter to the government and are waiting for response.
“We will continue the actions until receiving the response. We have conducted action yesterday as well in the auto market as well. The main demand is not to go to Gyumri for customs clearance. The construction works of the new car customs clearance office have not ended they force us go to the old one in Gyumri which barely serves the residents of Gyumri,” Gasparyan said, adding that re-equipping cars in Georgia costs higher.
The car importers expect operative response from the government.
“We will do everything possible to get response sooner than the set 45-day time. We will conduct actions, work with mass media to make our voice reach the government. I think they will understand that we are not demanding something difficult,” Gasparyan said.
