Armenia may assume chief role in the theatre of political absurd: One Armenia party chairperson

Chairman of One Armenia party Arthur Ghazinyan referred to the initiation of criminal proceedings against chairman of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan on the basis of application of the lawmaker Arman Babajanyan.

Ghazinyan stressed that such a precedent cannot be found in any of democratic states and no leader with self-respect will allow anything like it to happen ever.

“But as it is said, ours differs and our revolutionaries may feel twice proud as this is already the second case following the call to blockade the courts with which Armenia may assume the chief role in the theatre of political absurd,” Ghazinyan wrote on Facebook.

He stressed that the goal of such developments is to establish the absolute rule of one person.

Ghazinyan said all the state bodies are being seized and state institutions are being privatized like kiosks shuttering the young and yet weak fundament of Armenian statehood, discredit and bankrupt national institutions.
