U.S. Embassy follows legal, political and economic developments in Armenia closely

Months ago U.S. Embassy in Armenia stated that Washington is faithful to its commitment to support reinforcement of independent judicial system in Armenia, noting that it must be in accordance with the Constitution.

168.am sent an inquiry to the U.S. Embassy to clarify whether the embassy is following the recent developments over the CC and whether it is ready to continue supporting.

“The United States Embassy follows all legal, political, and economic developments in Armenia closely. We promote efforts to advance participatory, effective, and accountable governance, including through the development of institutions to fight corruption and strengthen the rule of law. In coordination with the international donor community, civil society, and the Government of Armenia, we are exploring opportunities to support the government's judicial and legal sector reforms and anti-corruption strategies,” the embassy responded to the media.
