Ara Babloyan says he may only be accused of promoting Pashinyan to come to power

Former chairman of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan assures that he did everything in accordance with law and the Constitution.

“I can say one thing, I did everything in accordance with the law and the Constitution,” Babloyan said, referring to the circumstance of being involved as suspect in a criminal case.

The former NA chairman said he is a bit offended from Armenia’s law enforcers.

“I am a bit offended from the law enforcement bodies, I was explaining them that I was getting prepared for this operation for 20 years, they said I should come immediately. For the people not to think that I am avoiding I went there,” Babloyan said.

He said he is convinced in only one thing, “I may be accused only in one thing, promoting Nikol Pashinyan’s coming to power. It is a separate case, and if they decide to examine it, they will confirm it,” Babloyan said.
