Arsen Babayan’s arrest unlawful step aimed at seizing judicial power: ARF-D representative
ARF-D Supreme Body representative Ishkhan Saghatelyan considers the arrest of the former deputy head of NA staff Arsen Babayan illegal.
“This action has no relation to legal process, this is a legal mayhem with which Arsen Babayan is being persecuted,” Saghatelyan told Aysor.am.
He said these processes are viewed in the row of developments over CC chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan.
“This is an unlawful action undertaken to seize the judicial power,” Saghatelyan said.
ARF-D representative said the continuous unlawful arrests are aimed at reaching political monopoly.
Saghatelyan said the ARF-D shares the viewpoint that Arsen Babayan is political prisoner.
“If to view the sequence of actions, we share the viewpoint. What opportunities and authorities did Arsen Babayan have to assist in usurpation of power?” he said.
The ARF-D representative said that the authorities will try to reach their goal with unlawful steps.
“Here it is very important for our society to wake up and understand that the executive power is on a wrong path,” Saghatelyan said.
