Armenia to register about 7% economic growth: Armenia’s PM participates in 2020 draft budget discussion
Armenia’s economic activeness index for the first ten months of the 2019 makes 7,1%, head of the government Nikol Pashinyan said at the 2020 draft budget discussion.
“It is almost obvious that we are going to have about 7% economic growth, but the Ministry of Finance says the possible index is 6,3% and the Central Bank 6,7%,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed that international organizations and International Monetary Fund, Asian Development Bank and others, without any exclusions reassessed their assessments of economic growth in Armenia, raising it.
“Now they forecast higher economic growth than previously,” the prime minister said.
Speaking about price growth, the head of the government said it makes 1,6%.
“The economists are upset when high price growth is being registered and in the same way they are upset when it is being low, this is why the 1,6% will make our economists will better,” he said.
