Hrayr Tovmasyan commends the efforts of the President of Venice Commission addressed toward establishing culture of democracy in Armenia

With the request of Pastinfo news agency President of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan responded to the statement of the President of Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio released on October 29 and the comment followed by the Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan.

“Naturally, I am familiarized with the statement of the President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio and his interview with Shant TV. I really commend the efforts of the president of the Venice Commission addressed toward regulation of the situation created over Constitutional Court, restoration of the normal activity of the CC as well as reinforcement of the culture of democracy in our country. The provisions mentioned by the president of the Venice Commission in the statement stem from the interests of our state,” he said.

“Our response to Mr Buquicchio’s call is clear – the Constitutional Court reiterates its readiness to settle the created situation on the basis of mutual respect and dialogue. I also hail the comment of the Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan on the statement of the president of the Venice Commission about readiness to make conclusions from it,” Tovmasyan told the agency.
