Recognition of Armenian Genocide by U.S. House of Representatives to give new impetus to the recognition process: Armenia’s PM
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred today at the cabinet sitting to the resolution adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives on recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
“I think it is a very important event and will give new impetus to the process of recognition of the Armenian Genocide,” he said.
The prime minister thanked the Diaspora and particularly the Armenian organizations acting in the United States for their years-long efforts to reach recognition of the genocide by the USA.
“Practically this decision has matured for many years and almost all the states have recognized it and this became the top of the process, the culmination,” Pashinyan said.
He thanked the Armenia group members of the House of Representatives and all those who backed the resolution.
