Rescue service director sacked because of failure at work: minister
The head of the Rescue service of the Emergency Situation Ministry failed at work, minister Felix Tsolakyan said referring to the dismissal of the official. Tsolakyan said the head of service was indifferent during summer fires.
“It was one of the key reasons, he was not in Armenia that time. Other things also happened, but I will not go deep into details,” the minister said.
On October 22 Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan dismissed Artak Nahapetyan from the post of the Rescue service director. His deputy, general-mayor Vrezh Gabrielyan has been appointed as acting director.
