Sarhat Petrosyan claims he warned vice PM Tigran Avinyan about corruption clan in urban construction sector
Former head of State Committee of Cadaster Sarhat Petrosyan claims he has informed vice prime minister Tigran Avinyan about the corruption clan acting in the sector.
“The former head of the Urban Construction Committee who is vice PM Avinyan's consultant and who as if did not have any activity in Armenia, today is the owner of the biggest projecting company and coordinates huge volume of investment programs,” Sarhat Petrosyan told RFE/RL.
He said he is speaking about Avetik Eloyan.
“All know about it, Avinyan is aware of it, I have personally told him about it, the whole architectural community knows about it,” he said.
Petrosyan said that the official who has not implemented any activity in Armenia is projecting the highest building in Armenia.
“It is a proved case of clash of interests which I can rephrase into clan corruption,” he said.
Petrosyan noted that if the law enforcement bodies and Civil Contract party want to be consistent and see what their party representatives and individuals are elaborating he is ready to submit additional facts.
The former official stressed that throughout his activity he was one of the leading experts of the sector.
“I think Avinyan needs additional two-three years to have the ideas over the sector which has a person who studied architecture,” Petrosyan said.
He stressed that he has told Tigran Avinyan several times that his actions are wrong.
“I have told him few times – what you are doing is wrong, don’t do it, you will face serious problems,” Sarhat Petrsoyan said.
