CSTO PA Council session adopts proposals on confronting “color revolutions”
The CSTO PA’s Council session adopted a package of proposals for the member states of the organization on confronting the social-political destabilization by foreign states.
The package contains proposals on balancing the legislation on fighting against “color revolutions” technology.
It is noted that the contemporary situation is being described as an attempts to replace the functions of national authorities, to manage the country by international organizations and have destructive information influence on the mass consciousness.
The proposal says that the foreign forces not only fund those initiating unrest but also use “mild force” toolset, trying to influence the governments via parties and NGOs.
Armenia’s parliament though stated that the proposal cannot be included in the legislation of the country.
In the letter addressed to the CSTO PA, Armenia’s NA wrote, “After thorough study and discussion of the proposal we came to the conclusion that these proposals cannot be included in Armenia’s legislation,” Interfax reported.
