CSTO main security and stability factor of our region: Armenia’s PM
The CSTO is of strategic significance for Armenia, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today at the meeting with the chairmen of the parliaments of the CSTO member-states.
“It is the main factor of stability and security in our region. We attach big significance to the three directions of cooperation within the framework of the CSTO – coordination of foreign policy, military-technical cooperation and cooperation in the security sector,” he said, adding that Armenia also emphasizes the importance of united approach to common threats.
Armenia’s PM stressed that with its abilities the CSTO must correspond to the changing threats in the region.
“I am glad that we are constructively cooperating over future development of the CSTO. I am also happy that we managed to settle the issue of the secretary general of the establishment. The main essence of our organization is that the relations in all the sectors must be viewed stemming from the interests of all the member states. I think the relations among our countries must be priority for all of us and Armenia acts in such way. This is the right way of natural development of the CSTO,” Armenia’s PM said.
