Increase of Azerbaijani military budget by 21% contains serious dangers: Artsakh President’s adviser

The sharp increase of Azerbaijani budget has been discussed in different aspects, consultant to the Artsakh president Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook, stressing that he describes the 21% rise as sharp because it contains essential dangers and joins all the risks existing today.

“When we are discussing Azerbaijan’s arms and the raise of sums for its purchase in the pre-context of the raise of military expenses envisaged by Armenia's state budget, it is necessary to take into consideration another important circumstance as well. Which are our priorities in the military sector, in the front line? Do we have set short-term, mid-term and long-term priorities?,” Abrahamyan wrote, stressing that it is necessary to have clear idea what issues are put before the armed forces, what priorities are formulated, what factors influence on the solution of the issues of the armed forces and whether inter-connected resources are put to ensure it.
