Regulation of Armenian-Turkish relations to contribute to healing the general political atmosphere in Caucasus: Russian FM
The regulation of Armenian-Turkish relations is first of all the issue of bilateral agenda of Yerevan and Ankara, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov told Armenian Mediamax.
“Unfortunately, at the current phase our partners do not succeed to restore the diplomatic relations. We hope Armenia and Turkey will continue working in that direction. We think such opportunities still exist,” Lavrov said.
According to him, Russia is ready to provide necessary support to the parties.
“All the more, the soonest regulation of existing Armenian-Turkish disputes would have contributed to the healing of the general political atmosphere in the Caucasus, fostering security and stability there,” Lavrov said.
