U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham puts veto on Armenian Genocide recognition resolution
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has put a veto on the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide, Russian TASS news agency reports.
The senator made the decision after the meeting with the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He stated about it later at the Senate session.
“I have just met with presidents Erdogan and Trump and discussed with them issues we face in Syria… I hope Turkey and Armenia will unite and solve the issue,” the senator stated.
Graham stressed that he made the decision not for the past but for the sake of future.
