Arayik Harutyunyan fails to differentiate between personal and political relations: ARF-D representative

Education, science, culture and sport minister Arayik Harutyunyan failed to understand the difference between family, personal relations and party and political ones, ARF-D Supreme Body member Ishkhan Saghatelyan told Aysor.am, referring to yesterday’s meeting of the minister with lecturers and the incident with his aunt Rita Saghatelyan.

“Instead of referring to the content of the issue, the minister tried to personalize, got angry from a simple question of the Docent, labeled the fight and directed the question to the other field. My aunt is not party member, she is YSU Docent and is known for her civilian position,” Ishkhan Saghatelyan said.

He stressed that the incumbent authorities are not used to criticism and speak with their opponents in a language of blackmailing and threats.

“But they cannot speak with us in that way,” he stressed.

Asked whether it is a way to silence the students demanding the minister’s resignation, Saghatelyan said ARF-D had passed a difficult way and neither Arayik Harutyunyan nor others can do anything to silence it.

“Our fight is not personal, our young people are fighting against the anti-national policy in the education, science and culture sector. During this period neither of our party members offended the minister because it is our principle, but his such behavior does not promise anything good,” Saghatelyan said.
