AFF chairman Arthur Vanetsyan states condition for his resignation

First Armenian Front movement has issued a statement about the developments in football, stating that the atmosphere and the inner disputes had a direct impact on the efficiency of the team which suffered a shuttering defeat in the match with Italy.

“We consider searching the guilty in the disputes between AFF chairman Artur Vanetsyan and the members of the executive committee untimely, at the same time registering that the conflict harms our football. Taking into consideration the above mentioned we believe that Arthur Vanetsyan and the whole staff of the executive committee must resign,” the statement reads.

In the statement the movement also noted that political figures and people not having any relation to the football must not be included in the executive committee and must not be owners of clubs.

“At the meeting with the First Armenian Front movement leadership Arthur Vanetsyan stated that he is ready to follow our call to resign with the condition that members of the executive committee step down too and AFF member organizations be filtered to clean it from unknown NGOs not having any relation to football,” the statement said.
