Municipal authorities keep fact of donation of trucks by businessman Samvel Alexanyan secret: Luys faction members

Businessman Samvel Alexanyan has donated trucks to the Yerevan municipality but their number is not clear yet, head of the Luys faction of the Yerevan City Council Davit Khazhakyan told the reporters on Tuesday, voicing hope that the municipal authorities "who do not remember the political past of Alexanyan" will clarify the situation.

“The force which takes photos of each new truck and disseminates it, does not clarify where from they received these trucks and for what favor. If they kept this information secret for months I see quite other issue here,” Khazhakyan said.

Another member of the faction Ani Khachatryan noted that the donation of over 20 trucks was implemented secretly, and they learnt about it from different people.

“Being transparent is very important for the new authorities. Why keep it secret? Perhaps in this way the businessmen who previously avoided paying taxes are trying to atone for their sins. But why was it kept secret?” the City Council member stated.
