Yerevan municipality ready to accept donations from Samvel Alexanyan personally, there is nothing shameful in it: spokesperson

Yerevan city is ready to accept donations from all the people inside and outside who want to participate in the development of the capital, mayor’s spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan told the reporters today.

He said ten contracts under which Yerevan will receive new property are in the signing phase.

Karapetyan said mayor Hayk Marutyan hails the practice of donations.

Referring to the donation of Alex & Holding company, Karapetyan said that the mayor personnaly stated that he is ready to accept donations from everyone, including Samvel Alexanyan.

Karapetyan also said in the State Register the owner of Alex and Holding company is not Samvel Alexanyan.

“The director of the company signed contract with the municipality. His name is Hayk Israyelyan. We are ready to accept donations from Samvel Alexanyan personally, there is nothing shameful in it,” the spokesperson said.
