Deadline extended: Participants of the ARMONIA music contest can submit applications until December 10
The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the ARMONIA music competition, announced by the Armenian Assembly NGO aiming at the implementation of business, cultural and educational initiatives, has been extended. The purpose of this competition is to discover and support the young talents of the Armenian world.
The launch of the first stage of this competition, which is held among the young Armenians of the world and carriers of the Armenian culture, was announced on November 6, 2019. Applications for participation will be accepted until December 10 inclusive. During this period, online applications for participation will be accepted on the competition website www.armonia.me, and from December 10 to 21, the best applications in each age group will be selected.
The jury of the first stage will be teachers of leading music schools in Moscow. By decision of the jury, the best performers in each age group will step into the finals.
In the second - final round, winners in three age groups will be determined. The jury includes Konstantin Orbelian, Hasmik Grigoryan, Sergey Smbatyan, Mikhail Khokhlov, Stas Namin, Jivan Gasparyan and Jivan Gasparyan Jr.
The winner of the fourth grant for the Prize for Spectators’ Sympathy, will be chosen by the public. On January 10, 2020, the performances of the participants of the final round will be published, and visitors to the site www.armonia.me will have the opportunity to vote the most beloved one.
The participant of the competition, who received the highest number of votes as of January 15 23:59, will be recognized as the winner of the Spectators’ Sympathy Award.
Winners will have the opportunity to perform at one of the best concert venues in Moscow, at the final concert of the competition. During the concert, the winner in each category will be awarded a monetary award and diplomas.
Supporting young Armenian talents and promoting their professional development is one of the primary goals of the Armenian Assembly. The organization has already assisted a number of young performers in the field of classical music and sports, including chess player Shant Sargsyan, pianists Eva Gevorgyan, Karine Ter-Ghazaryan and David Avetisyan.
