Sending CC judges to early pension is a process of leaving with dignity: Rustam Badasyan

Sending Constitutional Court judges not loved by the authorities to early pension at the expense of the people’s pockets is, mildly speaking, not frank, Bright Armenia faction lawmaker Taron Simonyan said at the State-Legal Affairs Standing Committee session today.

“With this the authorities are not solving the people’s wish but are solving own political issues,” Simonyan stressed.

“If this process is not personalized why won’t you start from the whole judicial system?” the lawmaker said.

Justice minister Rustam Badasyan said the Venice Commission urges to apply the toolset of sending judges to early pension to as narrow circle as possible and not the whole judicial system.

As to sending the CC judges to early pension at the expense of the people’s pockets, Rustam Badasyan noted that no one does any favor to anyone, it is a just a process of leaving with dignity.
