Armenia’s deputy DM says information he possesses about suicide of conscript in Artsakh Defense Army cannot be made public yet
Armenia’s deputy defense minister Gabriel Balayan said the information he possesses about the suicide of conscript and wounding of another in Artsakh cannot be made public now.
Speaking to reporters at the UN Security Council Women, Peace and Security conference Balayan urged to refrain from different comments.
“Some media publications do not correspond to reality,” he said, adding that from the very first moment all the authorized bodies and divisions started working.
The deputy minister also said that conscripts must be taught to be tolerant.
“Our two servicemen involved in the incident have been described exclusively positive, which happens quite seldom. If any of them previously had any conflict they would not be appointed to implement military duty in the same military position,” Balayan said.
He said to find out the motive it remains to rely on the corresponding knowledge of the investigator.
The incident took place on December 2 at 6.50 a.m.
Conscript of Artsakh Defense Army Arthur Ajamyan, born in 1998, was fatally shot in unknown circumstances, another conscript of the same unit Davit Melikbekyan, born in 1999, received a gun wound.
