Armenia’s FM stresses the importance of involvement of Artsakh in talks at the meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart
Foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan met on December 4 in Bratislava with the mediation and participation of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
Armenia’s MFA reports that during the meeting the parties discussed issues on implementation of measures necessary for fostering the ceasefire and trust between the parties, as well as programs aimed at continuing the works in the beginning of the coming year.
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stressed the modest results registered in the sidelines of arrangements on preparing the people to peace. In particular the minister spoke about the implementation of journalists’ exchange program.
In this pre-context the participants viewed the possibility of continuing such like direct engagement of journalists and societies.
At the same time the importance of applying other measures for fostering trust was emphasized.
During the meeting Armenia’s foreign minister referred to his meeting with the Artsakh authorities and once again stressed the necessity of involvement of Artsakh authorities in the discussion of substantial issues of Karabakh conflict resolution.
