Karabakh conflict settlement opportunities to grow after conflicting parties appear under influence of same geo-political pole: political analyst
Karabakh conflict settlement opportunities will grow if Armenia, Azerbaijan and Artsakh appear under the influence of the same geo-political pole, political analyst Khachik Galstyan said at the Aysor.am’s From the First Glance program.
“As of the moment I do not notice any environment, including geo-political which may contribute to peaceful solution of the conflict. Such opportunities will grow if all the conflicting sides appear under the influence of the same pole, be it Eurasian, NATO, European-American,” he said.
Speaking about the possibility of war, the political analyst said it always remains high.
“The possibility of war must always be assessed high. In our region we always notice tough completion of different security systems. NATO seems not to stop its enhancement to east, stating during the recent gathering that Ukraine and Georgia must sooner or later become members of NATO. Azerbaijan is maintaining the neutrality of its security systems as of the moment but sooner or later it must tie its security system either with Turkey or Russia or any other country. Naturally, the more dividing lines we have in the region, the more the possibility of military solution to the conflict will rise,” he said.
