Russian ORSIS weapon supplying company withdrawn from “black list” in Armenia
Russian ORSIS weapon supplying company has been removed from the “black list” in Armenia, lawyer Alexander Sirunyan, defending the interests of the company in Armenia, told Aysor.am.
“Yerevan court of general jurisdiction satisfied our motion and suspended the effect of the decision of the Finance Ministry, according to which, ORSIS is to appear in the “black list” and have no right to participate in state purchases,” Sirunyan said.
He said such like disputes are examined in the court for about 2-3 years and even if he did not undertake any actions the company would have been withdrawn from the list in July 2021.
“The absurd is that we are placing the only source of weapon in the black list,” the lawyer said.
Sirunyan said that ORSIS again has right to participate in the tenders and supply weapon to Armenia’s force structures.
The court obliged Finance Ministry to lift the Promtechnology company, comprising of ORSIS company too, from the list of companies that cannot participate in the state purchase processes.
It has been reported earlier that a criminal proceeding was launched in Armenia after annulling a tender.
The tender having few million USD budget was declared in May with only Russian ORSIS company managing to satisfy its demands.
Later though the tender was annulled without any explanations.
