Armenia’s PM loses adequacy, outcome – snap elections
The authorities whose legitimacy is concentrated on one person cannot be stable irrespective of the quantity of deputy mandates, Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan said in an interview with Hraparak daily.
“The inability to rule the country, the absence of coordination in work stimulate delegitimation of the power. The prime minister does not have fanatical supporters anymore. After the intoxicating euphoria the adequacy of the society is being restored, but the prime minister who thinks he is Jesus Christ is starting to lose adequacy,” Kocharyan said.
“This accelerates the tempo of reduction of his popularity and gives ground to be convinced that all this will end with snap elections. By the way, the possibility of conduction of such elections next year is quite high. It depends on the ability of opposition to join the efforts and be more determined,” Kocharyan said.
