Zhoghovurd: Former NSS chief says he will never allow people serving foreign agenda and their created networks harm the security of our state

With the request of the Zhoghovurd daily former director of National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan commented on the recent attacks of some public figures on the NSS.

Arthur Vanetsyan noted that if the NSS is limited by its official ethics it does not mean that anyone may publicly prate in the address of officers.

“The acting NSS officers today are limited with official ethics, but I am not anymore. I have said and I repeat, irrespective of my status, I will always be by the side of my colleagues. I will never allow false human rights advocates, people serving foreign agenda and the networks created by them harm the security of our state. I will do everything for our society to be free from the influence of their dangerous propaganda. This is our home, this is our homeland,” the former chief of the NSS said.

Asked how he assesses the current activity of the NSS, Vanetsyan said, “Armenia’s National Security Service continues implementing its duties with dignity. Despite domestic and external ups and downs, today as well the NSS is the establishment which bears on its shoulders an extremely heavy and responsible burden. The best serve there, they confront all the domestic and external challenges with devotion.”
